System Overview

 

The Comprehensive Torque Resistance Test System is designed and manufactured in accordance with the following standards and clauses:

  • IEC 61439-5, Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies, Clauses 10.2.101.2 (Static Load Test), 10.2.101.4 (Torque Resistance Verification Test), 10.2.101.6 (Door Mechanical Strength Test), and 10.2.101.9 (Mechanical Strength Test for Bases Intended to be Embedded in the Ground);

  • GB/T 39752-2021, Safety Requirements and Test Specifications for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment, Clause 6.5.2;

  • EN IEC 61851-1:2019 / IEC 61851-1:2017;

  • GB/T 18663.1-2008, Requirements for Cabinet Stiffness Testing, Clause 5.2.2;

  • GB/T 20641-2014, General Requirements for Enclosures of Low-voltage Switchgear and Controlgear Assemblies;

This system is mainly used for mechanical loading tests and related research on low-voltage metering boxes, prefabricated substations, and electrical enclosures. It supports a variety of sample types, including metallic and non-metallic metering boxes and cable distribution boxes, allowing for mechanical performance testing across multiple specifications.

 

The system adopts PLC-based intelligent integrated control, featuring touch screen operation with automatic data acquisition. Test parameters (force, speed, and duration) are preset via the interface, and test results are automatically displayed as force–time curves. Pressure can be applied from both top and side, adaptable to various sample sizes, making it an ideal and reliable solution for inspection agencies and laboratory departments.

 

 

Equipment Structure

 

The test bench adopts a frame structure and is divided into a horizontal loading part and a vertical loading part. Each loading actuator can move freely within the plane with 3 degrees of freedom. These three actuators achieve a total of eight degrees of freedom in mobile loading. The height of the crossbar can be adjusted through the lifting mechanism to match different force application positions on the side of the sample. The large chassis with clamps can hold samples of different specifications and is rotatable, firm and reliable. Clamping blocks are configured for different products to facilitate fixation. For samples not to be tested, different test pressure plates are configured according to the standard, and gable top and inclined top sample pressure plates are configured.

18 Door Mechanical Strength Test

Apply a force of 50N (450N) or other value to the upper edge of the door, 300mm from the hinge, for 3 seconds or for another period of time. Open the door to its maximum position in advance, apply a horizontal force of 50N (40N for metal measuring boxes, 30N for non-metallic measuring boxes) at the upper edge of the door 300mm away from the hinge for 3s (1min), and repeat the test with an increase to 450N. Note: For doors that open upside down, rotate the sample 90° and place it for testing using this mechanism.
